James Brown Centenary

The 10th of October 2020 marks the 100 year anniversary of James Brown’s death. We had been hoping to present a series of events to commemorate the occasion but we will have to postpone them until a time when we can more easily congregate to share information and presentations.

The event was marked with a champagne toast in the Kirk and ringing the Kirk bell.

To commemorate the centenary of James Brown’s death and the centenary of the Belted Galloway Cattle Society, an exhibition about James Brown is being held at the Mill on the Fleet in Gatehouse of Fleet.
